Advice worth following before you print
- Do not put your home address on it. A cross street where the dog went missing is what a finder needs. Your address is what a stranger with the flyer gets.
- Say there is a reward, never how much. Naming an amount attracts people who want the amount rather than people who have your dog, and it is the single most common way these flyers get answered by a scam.
- Ask people not to chase. A frightened dog runs from strangers calling its name, often into traffic and often for miles. "Do not chase, call this number" gets the dog home more reliably than a crowd trying to help.
- Put them up higher than you think. At eye level from a car window, at the intersections rather than halfway down a block, and inside a plastic sleeve or a freezer bag if rain is coming.
- File the report as well as the flyer. Call your local shelters and animal control directly, and check in person every couple of days. A found dog is logged where it was found, not where it was lost.
What this page does with your information: nothing. There is no account, no email field, no analytics on what you type, and no server here that receives any of it. The photo you choose is read by your own browser and drawn onto the page. Nothing is saved, not even in this browser, which means closing the tab loses your work.
